Integrated Renewable Energy Systems for The Home
Renewal Energy Survey

We visit your home and/or work with your architect to evaluate the feasibility of installing a Renewable Energy System.

Even if you don’t have the bucks to design and build your own energy-efficient home, there are still plenty of ways to minimize your toll on the environment. A Home Energy Review is an approach to home improvement with the goal of a more comfortable home, lower utility bills and a cleaner planet. With careful planning and readily available materials, you can create a home that combines beauty, efficiency, comfort, and convenience with health and conservation.

Why Consider a Home Energy Review?

Cost: Energy efficient and water-wise designs and products reduce monthly utility bills. Installing a high-efficiency washing machine can save up to $90 on energy bills and 6,000 gallons of water, every year. The most efficient new appliances typically use 50% less energy than most wasteful models. Having a home that is resource-efficient is a better deal in the long run because the cost of living in your home is reduced. The savings can cover and even exceed the initial investment, and then some.

Beauty and Comfort: A green home doesn’t have to look any different from a typical home. Simply becoming aware of unreasonable costs and applying readily available information and techniques can save as much as 20% of the energy it takes to make your home comfortable.

Added Value: Energy efficiency represents value: 80% of homebuyers say new homes don’t meet their environmental expectations, and 96% say they are willing to pay more for a home that is resource-efficient. According to the National Appraisal Institute (Appraisal Journal/October 1999), your home’s value increases $20 for every $1 reduction in annual utility bills. Recent studies show that even simple energy-efficient home improvements can boost home value by $18,000!!

Environmental Benefits: A home that is energy efficient enhances the environment instead of depleting it. By becoming more energy independent and resource efficient, you protect air and water quality. And, for every gallon of water or kilowatt-hour of electricity you save, you reduce the amount of carbon dioxide (the greenhouse gas) entering the atmosphere.

What Does a Home Energy Review Include?

  • An analysis of your current monthly average kilowatt-hour consumption.
  • Lighting analysis and cost-savingrecommendation
  • Appliance review and cost-saving recommendation
  • An analysis of hot water consumption and cost-saving recommendation
  • Space heating and cooling recommendation

Renewable Energy System Survey Services

We visit your home and/or work with your architect to evaluate the feasibility of installing a Renewable Energy System. For Solar PV, Hot Water and Heating systems we evaluate how much heat or electric energy is needed; type of collector to be used; the amount of the sun's energy that could potentially reach your collector; and orientation of the collector. For wind turbine systems we evaluate the availability of wind resource and effectiveness in generating electric energy. A preliminary design is produced, along with drawings for permitting and system estimates.

Renewable Energy System Design Services

We conduct a Renewable Energy Site assessment and produce a complete system design, complete with final system drawings. We coordinate with your local utility regarding interconnect requirements for grid-tied systems. If required, we also meet with local planning and zoning officials and obtain the necessary permits. A final fixed system price is also provided.

System Installation Services

Our team of trained professionals includes a project manager, licensed electrician and factory certified installer who will be responsible for all phases of system installation. In addition, we will coordinate with your general contractor and ensure system passes local inspection.

Warranty Services

We coordinate the resolution of any warranty problems with equipment with the respective manufacturers. All our system workmanship is warranted for two years.

Annual Maintenance Services

Twice a year we will inspect the system to ensure it is performing properly, make necessary adjustments and test the system.
